Hog Saddle and Slik Sprint Mini Tripod

I was wondering if anyone is running a Hog Saddle on a Slik Sprint Mini Tripod? I am currently using a Manfrotto 55 which is great, but it is kinda on the large size, especially when I carrying all my gear in a ruck.

My intention is to shoot in some of the adventure style competitions which go for 12-24 hours and maybe 30 miles, so weight is a premium. If I do take my Hog Saddle, I want to lessen as much weight as I can.

I am pretty sure the silk sprint mini II is what the medium prs comes with.

If your rifle isn't too heavy you will be OK, but it's not going to work as well as the Manfrotto.

I use the Slik/PRS setup when I want to go light. I use the Manfrotto/HOG Saddle combo when I want to lock the rifle in and leave it.
