I had a young man tell me that yesterday, and while typically I don't get into a conversation like that while on the job, I told him we needed to have a talk. Told him that since he was pro 2A, lets not discuss that, lets talk about his next statement.
If we were going to own things based on need, then we might just as well be Amish. We don't need hundreds of cars to pick from, hundreds of motorcycles ...., anything, just keep naming.
Told him I had a question for him, "Who gets to decide the needs of any one person and how do we stop the slide down that slippery slope?"

This little retard wants all doors locked from the inside? As in, if a shooter comes in thru the main school door (which will be unlocked) or force assaults through the front, you now have 100% of the people in the school forcibly locked inside with the shooter and they can't escape.

Maybe it's some sort of self-destruction train of thought. A lot of the ideas these fucktards are coming up with make the situation worse. Could we maybe say that, "David, you've exhibited a pattern of thinking that ultimately leads to you being more likely to be fucked up by criminals and psychos. Are you feeling alright? Are you depressed? Are you... a danger to yourself or others?"
I'm sure the rebuttal to my simple scenario would be something like 'wed make sure the unlocked door was guarded by authorized people' or some shit. Yes, the same authorized people that waited outside and didn't come in to save your snowflake ass, those people?
And I'm sure most of you have seen whatever passes as security for schools, even if it is resource officers or whatever. If I were motivated to go in and knew the layout (see: I went to school there) all the security people would be was a warm up; and then everyone else is locked inside the school now, so no worries, I have time.
Aren't all school doors fire doors with crowd bars on them already? Most of those can be locked on the outside or actuated with a key lock from the outside but still permit egress. Of course, fire regulations may insist that ingress be provided for fire and rescue people which is a whole different issue.
I saw that movie a hundred times. There’s always that ride or die teacher that will go any length to keep the kids safe, well tutored and encouraged. But we don’t see them on cnn, no one honor them, no medals ? but Hillary is allowed to roam free. Anyways it’s good to see these kids back to school.
