Hornaday 125gr Match/fmj

I gotta question for you most knowledgeable bunch. Can I use the Hornaday 125gr match/fmj in a rifle to about 2950 FPS. It's listed as a handgun bullet. But the the price is right for lightweight 3 gun ammo reloading
