Hornady 285 differences?

I tried my google fu and nothing came back so im curious what you guys know. Is there a difference between the Hornady 285grn Match (.338) that look like they were pointed vs the slightly longer ones that don't have the pointed look to them. BC wise or age wise which is more current.

The reason I ask, is I had been using up my current stock that is more then a year old tell i ran out and i went to the store for a few boxes and they were not pointed. What's the deal?
