Range Report Hornady 338 LM 285 Factory ammo over pressure ??

tried the 285 Hornady Factory load in the Savage 110 FCP HSPrecision rifle and the first shot had to bang the bolt open and drive the case out with a cleaning rod,,anybody use this stuff??

what would you do with the rest,,send it back,throw it away or what??

I've run through several cases, never had a problem. With that much case head expansion, you might want to check headspace. If headspace is OK and other factory loads are fine, then send a box back to the factory for testing. What's the lot #, I've got a boatload here and if I have the same lot I can test it.

The hornady brass is way to soft. I heard nothing but problems with the brass.

Daddy was over yesterday with the TRG42 and I fired 5 rounds of the same ammo at 100 yards just for function test,,all 5 shots were touching bullet holes and had zero problems with the cases extracting and I could not detect any pressure signs,,

then today I get this from Hornady,

I emailed them back that I know thought it was the Savage chamber is out of spec,,

I dont know what to do now,send rifle to Savage,,maybe,,gonna call them tomorrow and see what they say,,
