Hornady match dies

What is everyone’s take on these? How consistent are they? I typically steer towards Redding or rcbs because I trust the hell out of them but the caliber I’m wanting to get started in is sold out so I either wait for rcbs to get back in stock during these weird times or get the Hornady match dies available now.

The sizers are excellent. Head and shoulders above Redding. Really not even close. The micrometer seaters are very tall, and don’t work in a Forster press.

They work in all the foresters that have been sold with the larger wishbone for a long time now. They are a shitty universal design seater though. I have a couple and they work fine.

I have the newer style, but some of the larger dies still don’t fit. Agreed though, not the best design, but functional.

For $87 bucks, the set is a good deal. Half the price of the Redding set. If it’s available, grab it. The seaters are bore size specific, not cartridge specific. Makes them pretty flexible.

I’ve had good luck with the set and holds tolerance pretty tight for me.

I've been able to use all of the seaters in my Forster press. I find them to be very consistent.

I use them and find them to be extremely consistent even while using the quick release bushings in a Hornady single stage press.
The Hornady Duoprep electric case prep makes short work of a necessary task fyi.
