Hornady Progressive Case Feeder over feed

Anybody run one? I picked this up for a decent price but the feeder double, triple, and has even quadruple fed cases to the shell plate.

I realize that this isnt the best progressive in the world but hoping that someone has some knowledge before I scrap it and buy a Dillon.

It sounds like you dont have it set up right. You need to adjust that one peice up and down so it only can feed one at a time on the down stroke.

Did you adjust the height between the actual moving part that moves the case over and the tube? I am not home so can't look at mine now. Can you post a pic of yours and what it's doing?

I've run over 10k through mine of various calibers and I have yet to see any real issue with multiple cases being dropped.

Take another read through the setup info and you will see that it is a very reliable case feed system. If you are still having trouble post some pictures of how you have it setup and adjusted so we can help diagnose things.

Make sure that the drop tube is about an eighth inch above the case waiting to drop, and make sure your drop tube is the right size

I agree with the others, sounds like the drop tube is not adjusted properly. What cases are you trying to run through it?

Got it guys!! Thanks for the input. The case feeder tube was set too high and it was allowing multiple cases (9mm) to fall.
