Hornady Superformance 178gr 308 Match in LMT MWS

I have been picking up various ammo to test for accuracy in my incoming LMT MWS .308 and had considered picking up a box of Hornady 178gr Superformance Match but wasn't sure if it would be too long for the mag?

Anyone run any of this through factory or PMAGs? Any feeding issues?

pressure issues, popping primers is the norm with gas guns

It grouped really nicely out of my 20" SR25M but definitely had some pressure problems.
Didn't have any mag related problems associated with COL.

Hmmm... Sounds like I may pass on the Superformance 178gr. Are the pressure issues common among the Superformance offerings in gas guns or is this unique to the 178gr load? I see the also have a 168gr A-Max load.

I already have a box of the standard Hornady Match 168gr A-Max, so maybe I'll just explore some TAP offerings and some other manufacturer's.

Any suggestions?

178 super performance , not accurate, not good, very hot, pop primers in my LMT. They pop in gas and bolt guns.
Not all super performance run hot.


168 AMAX good accurate.

Try 168 fed gold match. About $21.00

and Nosler 168 custom ( grey blackish box) 20 ish.

There is good hunting ammo, but cost too much. Most people feel like the federal gold match is the GOLD STANDARD". Try that first.

I've got a couple of boxes of Fed Gold Medal Match 168gr and 175gr as well as the aforementioned Hornandy Match 168gr A-Max. I may pick up a box of TAP and then just try these out before picking up any more. Thanks for the tips on the Superformance.

Gas leaks around primer in my bolt and semi's.

Shot like shit in my EMC, 700 AAC, AI AE, and my MWS....

Still sitting on 5 or so boxes with no use for it in sight. I had really high hopes for the round...

Does't sound too good. Glad I sold my box of 5. It was going to be used on a bolt gun so I hope he didn't have issues with it.
