Rifle Scopes Horus Scope info ?

Hey guys i read a few forum pages about the Horus scope line and well my question is where are the scopes made ? i buddy of mine said there USA made ... also the Illuminated one is VS. the Leupold Mark for 4-14X50 Illuminated which one would most of you take ? i have a friend that will sell me one around 900-1000 for the Leuy i guess im asking if its worth getting the Horus over the Leuy. and one last thing is i guess i would be giving up the LLW from Leupold vs the 1 year from Horus....

on the bottom of my horus hawk it says made in Japan
