Hot Yoga/Bikram

Re: Hot Yoga/Bikram

My GF does it. The room is like 100*, and her class does something like 26 poses for 75 min total. She's wore out when she's done. It's a lot of isolated muscle exercise held at tension, so she's pretty sore the next day. There is another class thats 15min longer that does more and different poses, I suppose it's more advanced.

I would consider this as a nice alternate work out day. Lots of stretching, isometric exercise, muscle confusion, all that stuff, but wouldn't exclude cardio and lifting.

Re: Hot Yoga/Bikram

I had a 20 day free trial day at a local place just before I went to afganistan in 09. Figured excersisng in super heat would be a good help to acclimatize once I got there.

As far as a work out, once I reached a max/level body temp, I didnt find it to be any diffrent then any other yoga, except the a refreshed relaxed scense when I was finished, but that was probably from entering back into a cool enviroment.

Now if you think this is gay, you need to look at it from a diffrent vantage point

The class I went to:
90% 20-30 females
80% great shape
yoga booty shirts
small sports bras
and the sexiest sweaty girl look ( especially when tit first starts beeding up )
all doing yoga poses

I was thinking alot of things, and I assure none of it was gay

I did it for about 3 months it is hard as hell. You lose about 5 pounds of water weight every time. But you feel great afterwards. And if you are into scenery, you will see a lot.
