If by, "...and etc." you mean other problems tracer rounds may present... ?

I can say for a fact that in dry conditions, tracers do have the ability to set the grass downrange on fire! So that's worth paying attention to. I've shot hundreds of 7.62 NATO pulled tracers and most of them didn't even light up, just acted like regular projectiles. I think they were 147 grain and a bit longer than comparable weight bullets, like the pulled fmjs I got. I got a bunch for a good price, so they were fodder for the CETMEs, etc. I didn't give em a 2nd thought. I suppose they were originally used in linked mg ammo, probly pulled cuz they didn't light up.

Yeah, I have witnessed the fires before.

Heh, I remember great NFA shoots of the baygone "daze"...

ROs would bullhorn the rules repeatedly:
do NOT hit the hard metal with API/T, etc...
What happens after the very first start whistle?
50cal dueces unloading on the car differentials, whoosh, mega car fires.
Have to stop, wait for the fire trucks, and then restart.
Everytime...

Yeah, I set YTC (Yakima Training Center) on fire once... The whole thing. ONE Raufoss round --we told 'em it was gonna happen. Sagebrush in July. Spent those two weeks "training" to fight brush fires instead. Whole brigade did.

I have a shit ton of API/T for an M2HB and won't use it until it starts raining around here. Not taking any chances. They get out of control FAST.

Using tacer you also learn bullets don't always embed into the berm, rather, they usually take a 90 and go straight up and elsewhere!

Be safe.

You got that right!
I remember a LOT of crap going over the top of the entire freakin' mountain at Knob Creek!
Always amazed me...

Yeah, I do not need the cheap tracers, gonna pass...
