The whole affair just keeps getting murkier. It has been a while since I became convinced that the Russia investigation had nothing to do with Russia. And I thought it was a bit weird when the left started screaming about Trump being on the verge of firing Mueller, for months on end, and the looming constitutional crisis that would result, but the sky never came crashing down. All the while it seemed certain that Mueller was going to convict somebody, anybody, for something, no matter how unrelated to the election or Russia the subject was.
I am in a state of surprise that after all of this effort we do not have many more people indicted on more serious charges. This is because I hold politicos of every sort in such low esteem. I cannot believe that a whole gaggle of people are not tied to Russian oligarchs, given how prone to bribes and corruption the Russian elite seem to be and how susceptible politicians are to the lure of cash. But Russia has barely even come into play throughout this process. It has even gotten to the point that Mueller seems determined that he will avoid like the worst plague imaginable anything having to do with Russia.
Now that Stormy Daniels is front and center in the "Russia" investigation and that the left mixes her name and an election overthrow into a single breathe, has me saying "no fucking way". No fucking way can anyone be serious about this.
It was during the 2012 Presidential debates, when Romney stumbled again and again, that I began to hear (quite loudly) about the certainty of Hillary's coronation four years forward. Trump put a stop to that. That is the only overthrow I can see, other than the one that is coming into focus about right now.
Maybe my optics are just poor. Maybe I do not want to believe it. For a while I thought Mueller was just trying to justify his own existence, or not seem incompetent by failing to find Russian spies underneath Trump's bed sheets. But WTF are we doing now...?
I honestly wonder if Mueller wouldn't be relieved and eternally grateful for being fired. That would absolve him of not being able to find the recording of Trump and Putin connected by a double ended dong.
Is it really in the absence of anything else, everything else, that it comes down to Stormy Daniels??? The below statement got my attention as it was in the midst of so many on the left shifting the conversation away from Russia to Trump having sex with Stormy Daniels. What exactly was Maxine Waters revealing?
"This business about Stormy is not going away. He can use all the names you want to call us but our special counsel Mueller is connecting the dots... And if for some reason Mueller does not get him, Stormy will."
