I don’t know why I’m posting this but it triggered a memory- when living in North Carolina, while in the Corps there was a few “secret” fishing holes - the secrets was the older guys would come early Sunday evening and get a few grills going - most people brought something if not that’s okay. Fishing a few beers hearing stories about how it used to be or war stories- all these old guys were vets . Anyhow a dude about my age at the time - early 20s would show up and always yell- I brought beer for everyone- which he did - warmer than piss beer in the trunk of a car in Carolina summers . Always lots of mis matched shit - guess he worked at a camp ground or some such - anyhow he’d share gladly and would stand thee eating fired fish or shrimp or burgers or whatever and absolutely chug hot beer .
