How do you remove Moly coat ?

Hi Guys ,

I have some Moly coated bullets , what is a easy way to remove this coating , can I just thumble Them ?

Either shoot them or sell them. To remove it all you'll have to remove a small amount of metal.

I just start with new media and it shines them enough to where it is decently clean.

You can use 000steel wool to remove it also. May take awhile but if you dont have anything else to do I would just sit down in front of the boob tube and go to work.

1/2 each Butch's Bore Shine & Acetone in glass jar (with lid) , soak at least over night and it about falls off. (swish it around few times in between)

Bore Tech makes a product called Moly Magic that is supposed to remove Moly coating.

Tumbling in walnut media will work if you must remoove it.

Why not just shoot them and be done with it.
