Shot my new FV-SR for the first time yesterday. Must say that I was more than happy with its performance with a variety of ammo! I shot five shot groups at 25 yards. Of course, five shots of Wolf Match Target grouped into just over a one bullet hole size group. Ely sport and Armscorp each put five shots into a 3/8" group. Even bulk packed Federal was under 1/2". But I was quite disappointed with Aguila SSS. Five shots went into a three inch scattering, with four of the five keyholed. Pretty disappointing considering how well this load has performed from other guns I've shot it in. I had planned to use it exclusively when I get my Suppressor, but now doubt I'll bother. Going to try some CCI Quiet next.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Barrel twist rate is the culprit. I had hoped to use that stuff as well, but the heavy bullet will not stabilize in most 1:16 twist barrels. A twist of 1:10 or faster is recommended. If you had other rifles in which it shot well, then those rifles were the exceptions to the rule.

Try searching for aguila sss on this site and I'm sure you'll come up with some interesting reading.

I don't know much about sub-sonic hunting rounds, but there are lots of reputable options out there, including CCI's Segmented HP SS round. Heard very good things about it.

SSS needs a tight twist barrel if you are using a suppressor. I have a 1-9 twist 77/22 and they work fine through a can. I would not risk your suppressor with a standard twist tube.
