Suppressors how long is it taking now

Is it taking longer to get the transfers done? I order 2 SRTs on 2/2/09. I gave a deposit.I still haven't even filled out the paperwork. Haven't heard a word on anything. I called and he said that it is taking longer than usual. On my the others I had everything in hand in 7 weeks. Should I call SRT and ask if he even order them yet or just kept waiting? Any suggestions

have two friends that are in the final stages , should ba able to pick up their cans in a couple weeks , they were ordered and paper work filed in October !! ,these were even done on LLC's bypassing the whole finger print , CLEO sign off BS

My last transfer went pending 01/05/09 and approved 01/28/09.Check was cashed mid Dec 08.They seem to be working weekends to speed up the process.
Transfer was a form4 and examiner was Ted Clutter.

I did a trust last time. It didn't take to long. I filled out the paperwork within 2 weeks of telling the guy what I wanted. He sent the paperwork and the forms for the trust. I haven't even filled out any paperwork. Their is nothing in progress or working yet. I don't think he has order the cans yet. Usually they get the serial # of the can from SRT and in return get the paperwork started. Nothing on anything, cash the check 30 days ago. Called last night couldn't remember me, said it was taking longer than normal. Then said had to go to answer his other phone. Should I try and get my money back? He seem to act pretty wierd on the phone.

Talk with SRT today. He has the order in. I'am in the waiting period now.

Waiting on my can. I was told 12 wks from mfg to dealer, then another 12 from dealer to me. If I'm lucky.
Ordered 12/08, Mfg. submittited form 3 01/09, you do the math. Any way you do it it's going to be a helluva wait.

Submitted Form 4 December 20. Check cashed 26 December. Still waiting.....

It must be slower now. I got my last ones in 7 to 8 weeks from start to finish.

The way I figure it (makes me sleep better at night) is this way. In November there was a MAD RUSH to get F1's & F4's submitted. Most dealers have been out of cans for months and have now just got their supply back in stock.

Using this logic...... The workload should getting there in waves. The first wave of F4 submissions would have been over by approx dec (time to get F3 transfers, signatures etc.) with some straglers trickling in after that.

Within the last 2-3 weeks, it seems that the second wave of F4's have been sent out. My check for a single F4 was cashed on 2-23 (8 days after mailing) and my second check for 3 F4's was cashed 3-5 (5 days after mailing).

Don't know how true any of this is but, it helps me sleep at night.

its taking a lot longer then normal. They are extremely backed up. How about you all stop worrying about it so much and read the original ATF how long does it take post. I was told by one of the specialist that they have almost 6x the normal workload. I used to get my forms back approved in 6-7 weeks after check was cashed. Now its taking a minimum of 14-15 weeks after the check gets cahsed.

THE WAIT IS PART OF IT!!!! get used to it.... it will only get worse the more we send in.

My last transfers to a trust took 11 and 12 weeks. That was last week.
