how many do you carry ?

magazines is what iam talking about.

if you carry a semi auto dmr rifle or a mag fed bolt gun how many mags for your sniper gun do you carry when your at a match or in the field ?

how about in your patrol carbine or m4 how many do you carry for that when your in the field or at a match.

curious and its 3 am so lol just wanted to ask

I only carry 2 of each for hunting and target shooting. I don't care to take a break and reload the mag. On my lazy day, I use a drum mag for my AR

. Kinda wish someone make a drum mag for a bolt action

Bolt Gun - 3 total
AR - 7 total
Pistol - 3 total

This is my tipical loadout for duty. Never less but sometimes more.

operator is correct, im over in afghanistan right now and its 3 M9 mags 7 M4 mags and 1000rds of 7.62 for my 240

This is my last deployments payload at the peak, usually don't carry both m14 and m4.

1 bolt mag (all I was issued) 60 bullets in pack.
3 pistol mags
4 to 7 AR mags. Depends on the mission.

When kicking doors:
On my Armor
2 spare for the M4
2 spare for the G21

I also run a subload that I can attach with two more M4 mags if for some reason we go with a light team or if it's an active shooter and I am going in with patrol.

If I expend 90 rifle rounds and 40 pistol rounds in an US urban environment the world is close to the end.

For the bolt gun I usually carry 40 rounds. Again, if I expend 40 rounds, that means there are 40 bodies on the ground. Not even a remote possibility short of an invasion of the continental US.

When I was active Marine Corps I carried 6 M16 magazines and 2 M9 magazines if I was carrying an M16A2. If I was on the bolt gun I carried as much 7.62 as they would give me.

If it's a match, I look at the stages and gear up accordingly. If the stage is not published, then I carry my ruck to the line and have at least two magazines and a handful of extra cartridges.

For my bolt guns I carry 3 10 round mags and 2 5 round mags on my SO Tech belt and have another 5 in my stock pack at matches.

When doing entry:
(5) M4
(3) Pistol
(10) Shotgun breaching rounds

To quote an Old Ex SF/SWAT Commander I worked with as SWAT guy "All of them" I always carry far more than I think I will need, with idea being:
Cant get more
Two is one and one is none, because you lose them when poop hits fan

"Home", 2-3 (1 in pistol and at least 1 spare/sometimes 2)

At work, 7-M4 mags & 6 pistol mags

I carry two hundred rounds of each and make sure its in a ghillie cover so it doesn't get stolen at the match. Most of the time my name gets called but I get my turn missed by people not being able to see me due to the ghillie suit I am wearing at the match. The old flight suit I converted is just great, LOL

Ok to be honest I wear a chest rig when more than one mag change is needed at a match (3-gun or 2-gun) If one mag change is needed everything is on my belt. I carry three fastmags on the vest with two extra's in a pouch. I carry my pistol mags on my belt. If it is a long range shoot with my bolt rifle or LR-308 I carry two mags and no chest rig but keep my stuff in my drag bag built by Grand River Tactical. Depending on the shot count for the match I adjust up or down depending on what I will need. All matches are setup in their own way so you have to be able to adapt to shoot your best time with what you are given. JMHO
