How much do you adjust the load for bullet width ?

Example, I'm loading .308 Win using IMR 3031. The load calls for 40.2 gr of powder at the low end and a top load of 43.5
The loads listed are all for .308 diameter.
My bullets, IMI swaged metal jacket BT 148 gr, are .309 diameter.

How much less powder would you use when starting at the lower end of the load data and again at the high end ?
 
P.O. Ackley shot 8mm bullets in a 30 cal. barrel and said it worked fine. He figured the bullet was a few inches down the barrel before maximum pressure was reached.
