Rifle Scopes How much is my Mk4 worth to sell?

I'm thinking about doing an upgrade to a razor hd, however I have to know what my out of pocket is going to be after I sell my mark4 in order to get the go-ahead from kitchen6. It's a leupold mk4 3.5-10x40 with M3 turrets. i've had the scope since early 2000, and it's been as solid as they come. i still have the original box, and the BDC knobs that come with it for the different calibers. It does have ring marks, but I could re-paint the scope to new condition if the buyer wanted it. I have the original receipt where i paid $923.61 with tax. Anyone have a good estimate as to a good fair asking price?

SOLD! I just ran the shipping calculator to texas and it was about $750, lol.

I knew this would happen.

BTW, NO TRADES, that ought to weed out the "i'll trade you my barska swat", or "I have this badass contract over-run counter snipers scope i'll trade you".

I just watched one with mildot reticle sell for 650 asking price in the FS section here. I wanted it but just don't have the spare green lying around at the moment.

$650 is a fair price for non-illuminated. Illuminated would go for maybe $700-$750. Leupolds seem to sell well in the 70-80% value range.

i just bought a MK4 3.5-10x40 on the classified side used for $650 and it looks like ill be at least the 3rd owner.
thats great with me, I love used Leupolds. never had a problem but if i did, I know they will help me out!

I wouldn't want to to stress yourself on creating a label and boxing it, I can send you a prepaid label and a pre fit box.

He could just list it if he wanted to. Gaining nothing by what you suggest.

Sounds like just a valid question to me. Maybe he doesnt watch the FS forums like a hawk and just needs to know what to expect.

No it's not, I really am trying to sell my wife on the upgrade. Our youngest daughter starts private school in a couple weeks, and her sister starts 1st grade at the same school, money is something that we spend only with a lot of thought, and planning, even when there's no danger of missing a payment on something because daddy got a new toy.
