I won't mention names, but thought this was quite an interesting series of posts on the commie FB site... It's from memory because the mods deleted the entire thread for some reason...
OP asks about a potential build he is thinking of, and if anyone has experience with these particular components...
Responder 1 (R1) what experience or business do you have shooting that type of gun (My first thought was a lib was posting and this would get good)
Responder 2 (R2) posted the little poo emoji
R1 and R2 post about several other calibers and how his choice is not the best for PRS and similar shooting
OP says that's not what he does and looks for actual reviews
R2 gives a mini biography of R1 and how the OP should just listen to what he is saying regardless of what the OP was asking
I made a post about what I liked on the gun and reasons why I might choose it if I was in the OP position
R2 responded that I don't know what I'm talking about, then posted more about R1 and R2 expertise..
So I went and looked at their profile pages to see who these guys are, since most of the times people this annoying are trolls and don't have real pages..
one had a very impressive background and current stats, and the other keeps all his info hidden
The banter continued, and I was told I should go buy my first gun from Walmart (I guess because my FB isn't all hero shots of me with guns means I don't
shoot) and maybe the counter guy could teach me to shoot...
Now one of these guys teaches a class that me and some buddies were thinking of taking. But I don't spend my money for someone who's apparent attitude
is to tell me how great they are while treating others like dirt... I know there are a lot of guys out there who are incredibly gifted and talented shooters and
have accomplished more in the military and done things for this country that I never did, but we are in the real world now and when you represent yourself
and companies where service and word of mouth means business, I would think you would do all you can to encourage and advise those interested in our
sport. Or gracefully keep quiet.
So I post that you probably lost some business because of this thread
I got responses from R1, R2, and R3 (new guy) basically saying they are fine with that, because others will fill those slots anyway
R1 then responds he only speaks for himself, not the companies that are prominently plastered and mentioned on his page
OP again asks for actual info on the comps for his build...
thread is deleted
Maybe I'm spoiled from the customer service and quality of help that Frank and many of his sponsors, vendors and members here consistently give,
even when dealing with knuckle dragging novices like me.
So thanks to all of you who have accomplished and served so much, but are still able to lend a hand as a quiet professional.
