If the barrel profile meets your needs, that's a good deal. At that price, it's likely a standard profile, a good choice for hunting but less for target shooting. The factory stock is not bad and is pillar bedded. The hinged floor plate magazine loads easily and feeds very smoothly.
I'm wondering the same thing about the varmint/heavy 308 24". Want to do a secondary 308 rifle with a KRG stock so it can use AI mags but don't want to spend a ton.
The howa hunting rifles/weatherby vanguards have been good for me. Not bugholes but decent shooters. So hoping for 3/4MOA with match ammo as a standard.
