Re: Howa 1500 Tactical Bolt Knob Conversions!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Guys, sorry about the delay, been busy with the shop. Here are a few more pictures of the conversion I did today.
Price is $95, that covers supplying a new Badger Knob, performing the conversion and shipping the bolt back to you.
Turn around is 1 day.
Thanks for the compliments. It takes longer to indicate the Howa and Savage bolt handles in than blueprinting an action. It is done in the same fashion where I indicate two points on the handle so the knob and she section about 1"-1.5" to the left so its running perfectly true. When everything is dialed in I start making my cuts and bring the old knob down and turn it into a .312 shaft and thread it to 5/16 x 24. I leave part of the original knob to the left of this. Once Its threaded I start fitting the knob and pushing the should back until the old knob starts to transition into the new knob.
So there you have it, that is how I get everything looking good and correct. It takes a good hour and half to do this conversion because of the pain in the butt set up and fitting the contour correctly.
If you have any more questions just send me an email or PM.
By the way, this is my Loaner Badger knob that I do all of my fitting on, thats why its dinged up and has a worn out line between the knob and handle.
