Try before you buy. The AXIOM stock looks cool, but it's an idea that probably should have been left on the shotguns. I didn't care for the feel. The same has been said by most whom I have spoken with who actually use the rifles.
They do seem to be fairly accurate though.

I have a howa m1500! The hogue rubber over molded stock is very grippy. Went to the rang last week, didnt get it dialed in but im going to the range today. I got it topped with a Burris Fullfield 2. Costed all my christmas and birthday money to build. And i love it!

My smith is doing a build on a howa 1500 right now. It should be done in a couple of weeks I will post pics when it is but the specs are as follows.
howa 1500 action
bartlein 8.5 twist MTU cut to 18 in
Surefire brake
Chambered in 260 rem
CDI Bottom metal / Mag system
Badger type bolt knob
Manners T4 Adjustable in desert camo
Cerakote bbl action / bottom metal coyote tan
Should be stunning but again when it is done I will post pics. He is still waiting on the stock which is at least 2 weeks out at this point.

I have a Axiom in. 22-250 and it shoots pretty good. I was shooting at a 4"x6" piece of steel the other day, about the size of a coyote vital zone, at 250 yds and hit it ten out of ten times. That's not a testament to amazing accuracy but it does good for me.

I have 2 Howa 1500's. one is chambered in 308 and the other in 30-06. These things are AWESOME! My 308 is a 24" heavy barrel with a B&C stock and harris bipod. Buy one you won't be sorry.
If you don't like the Axiom stock, buy an action off gun broker and add the stock of your choice.

Well i just returned from the range. Shot it a bunch, put about 45 rounds through it. One thing too be sure of, the stock barrel does not shoot good at all when its hot. But once i let it cool, i was shooting through my already shot bullet holes!! Very happy with it, plan on getting a Tasco Tactical scope for it though. Buy a 1500, you wont be disapointed!

These are groups my Howa shot during break in. The gun is bone stock. The scope is a 3.5 x 10 Burris. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another one. Shortly the gun is going to short action customs for a few things.

Those are very solid groups coming from a factory rifle. What is the twist on the barrel?
Also, I just have to ask, is there any specific reason for the monster ring setup?

i have no idea what the twist is. i just looked on legacy sports website and couldnt find it. the answer is here on sniper's hide somewhere because i remember reading about it.
as far as the rings, i was trying to add as much weight as possible to limit recoil.

quick question if i get a remington 700 or howa 1500 in 300 win mag will it fit in the axiom stock? they only have long and short actions not magnums. (I'm really new to the magnum stuff so please don't chew me out) thanks

Well today i found out my Burris Fullfield 2 doesnt quite fit the Howas base. Its too long. And i cant change the objective. Right now the tasco tactical is all i can afford....

I havnt tried... I got so pist off today becuase i have spent so much money on my damn rifle and i cant even get to work the way its supposed to... Im only 15, my parents dont got a lot of money, so money is "tight" for me...
