Just a old crazy Indian from Texas reporting in. Dig the site and the wealth of info, hope to contribute and learn!

I do all kinds of shooting, had a thing for cowboy guns (go figure) but getting back into the longer range business. Just recently picked up a savage 308 and been eying different ways to go with the build. I’m not a target guy so will keep the build in more of a hunters perspective. I’ve previously owned fancy long range rifles and was of the mind to sight them in at their mpbr, hold them at their natural point of aim, and squeeze the trigger.

But for some reason now I’m getting into twisting knobs and shooting farther.. I’m a gun freak and own various different brands, years, and purposes. I can hit decent out to 300 and not a bad hand gun shot either... but give me a bow and better watch out

You ain’t lying! Any reason is a good reason to buy more guns. Just gotta figure out how to splain that to the wife!

Fortunately I did some swapping for the 308. I wil be able to spend my new gun allowance on it Boyd’s gunstock here I come! It’s wearing a cheapo Bushnell that’s a known good tracker which has survived a 45/70 and 300 RUM in its day. I’m thinking of a Leupold rifleman or similar maybe idk yet.

It’s a accurate rifle right now and I’ve been able to throw some 1/2” groups at a 100. I’ll be posting progress as I go
