Gunsmithing hs precision DBM not fitting in hs precision stock

i bought a remington 5r a while back and i wanted to change out the stock for the pst 007 and then add the hs precision DBM to it. i was hoping it would be an easy swap out, but it turned out to not be.

we tried to put it all together at the same time, but the DBM would not fit into the new stock. trying to trouble shoot the issue, we put the old bottom metal into the new stock and it fit, but the rear screw could not reach the threads in the action to tighten it down.

then we tried the new DBM on the old stock and there was no issue at all.


anyone else have issues like these? outside of sanding down the new stock to get it to fit, are there any other options?

there is a spot just in front of where the trigger guard is. It has to be sanded down to fit the back end where the latch is.
