I have no certain bone to pick with the ol' Huff Post, it's a good idea in theory. Individuals writing what they see and promoting civil conversation among readers. But this:

Gun Industry Hawks Militarized Products at Vegas SHOT Show | Josh Sugarmann

This article is claiming such nonsense as this quote:

"Gun companies like Freedom Group have made a decision: They are willing to risk future mass shootings by selling military-style assault weapons that private citizens have no reason to own. It will be up to the rest of us to expose this shameful record and hold the industry accountable."

It's tantamount to blaming Exxon for Gasoline being flammable.

This term of "Assault Weapon" is further asinine.

as·sault
/əˈsôlt/
verb
1) make a physical attack on.

weap·on
\ˈwe-pən\
noun
1) something (such as a gun, knife, club, or bomb) that is used for fighting or attacking someone or for defending yourself when someone is attacking you

People need to look beyond the buzz words.
