Hunting & Fishing Hunting for Whitetail in Kentucky

[Big Dog Steel]

I think I've got most of the details worked out for an upcoming hunt. Well, this Thursday through Monday (18th-22nd).

I will be hunting in Owen County. It is close to Ohio and looks like it has good numbers. If anyone has any ideas for good hunting spots nearby, public/private please let me know.

Grayson County or Grayson the town. They're on opposite sides of the state but around the same distance from Owen Co.

If you're hunting in Owen County, you've hit the jackpot!! It's the top deer producing county in the state!! Over 3900 deer checked in from Owen County last year!!

Sorry Grayson the town. I thought if you were close we could meet up we have about 400ac. just out side of town we hunt on. I'm leaving in the morning and will be down through Sunday

My family used to own a farm in Owen County KY. Big deer there have fun.

KSP - we will probably be on public hunting lands, but hopefully will at least see some deer. We are going to scout on Thursday.

Don't worry about seeing deer in Owen Co. If you can't find any in the woods, just cruise the roads between 7:00 and 9:00. You'll see plenty. I can't think of anyone I know personally out there, but if I think about somewhere for you to go, I'll let you know. Owen Co. is only about 15 miles from me as the crow flies.

Tomorrow is the day, I confirmed my zero today and am loading up a couple rounds tonight. Have to finish packing a mountain of hunting clothes.

If anyone will be around Frankfort and wants to get a beer sometime this weekend, give me a shout.
