Hunting & Fishing Hunting in Canada ??????

I don't think they care about magazine or reloads. Assuming it's a bolt action. You will need some ownership papers that are notarized. They will be inspected crossing the border both ways. I went on archery hunt and some others were doing the rifle thing and we were required to stop and do the inspections inside the building. Oh yeah, NO hand guns. They guide we used also mandated a shooting effectiveness session for the rifle guys.

Prebanpaul,

You shouldn't have any issues with reloads...I had the same concern with my gold-cased (read Lapua) rounds last year going to Ontario and it was no big deal at all...they didn't even have me open my bags to see my ammo or hunting knives.

I have no idea as far as 10-round mags. The link below provides contact info to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police:

You can just call and ask them for specific details. They will be able to answer any questions you have.

I'm fairly confident you don't need to get anything notarized. The only paperwork we had to complete was a firearms declaration (bows are considered firearms for the sake of the form). I think it was the MNR that actually mailed the blank form to my house ahead of time (not sure though, either them or RCMP). They also have the forms at the border. We stopped, went in for 10 minutes (my buddy didn't have his form completed ahead of time), and were on our way. Enjoy your trip...
