Night Vision I am a noob and have questions about my new filmless tubes.

I bought some DTNVGs and just got the specs sent to me. I am just wondering about there being a noticeable difference in the eye between the two. The company is renown in the NV community and I would consider them trustworthy and reliable. Here are some specs.

Tube 1:
Photocathode sensitivity: 2633
EBI: 0.9
Luminance Gain: 68056
SNR: 34.8
Center Resolution: 72
Halo: 0.8
FOM: 2506

Tube 2:
Photocathode sensitivity: 2404
EBI: 0.6
Luminance Gain: 63202
SNR: 34.8
Center Resolution: 72
Halo: 0.7
FOM: 2506

Please don't let this strike anyone as complaining, I am just trying to understand the difference in specs. I understand the manufacturing process and tubes are always unique (for the most part). I don't really have "concerns" but I have questions.

Will one tube be noticeably brighter (one is 3.0 other is 3.1)? What is a great number for Halo? If anyone who knows more than I do since I am a newb to a lot of this stuff, would anyone mind educating me on differences? Thanks a ton in advance.

Those numbers are all exceptionally good across the board. They’re also about as perfectly matched as I’ve ever seen.

So the difference in gain is negligible? The reason I ask is because I do not have enough time behind tubes while knowing/understanding all of the specifications. I appreciate your time and response. I will also be giving an update next week when they get here.

Don’t get too hung-up on the LG numbers. There is absolutely no perceptible difference between 63K and 68K. It’s like comparing a 1000 lumen flashlight with an identical 1050 lumen flashlight. You’d never notice any distinction under any conceivable circumstance.

You’re awesome, I thank you for taking the time to answer things. I had Photonis Intens with 69 res all specs really close and thought that was normaland expected. It seems these specs are really close as well from what I now understand.

You’re really going to love those, and as Horta said I doubt you’ll notice any difference between the tubes. My tubes have very similar specs to yours and they are incredible.
