Going just for the fun and learning to a PRS regional match ...

Got a bad knee ( my fault ), bad shoulder ( not my fault ) & Im FAT ( my fault ) And right eye decided recently that randomly refusing to focus was S.O.P

Rifle has a 20" barrel on it right now & I can no longer shoot muzzle brakes ( long story ) ..

Oh yeah .... its gonna rain the first half of the day

I go to about half dozen matches a year ( BR, F-Class, PRS style etc. ) and I ALWAYS have fun and learn !! Oh & I never win

@granite wagon I feel your pain....both knees left is worse, left shoulder, left hip arthritis every where, power lifting, strongman training and roofing not a great combo when you get older LOL...oh and the fat part don't help now either.
I'm not completely broken...yet...just a bit slow in the mornings.

Yesterday was as good as it gets at Frontline. Cool, rain stopped about daybreak, sun later, wind tolerable.

With Frontline, one prepares to be either drowned/frozen, drowned then baked, baked then drowned, or simply drowned or baked. One might even experience a tornado warning. All that (except tornado) is countered by the awesome raised shooting platforms on many, if not most, stages.

Indeed, Paul has made every effort to keep us from getting too wet or too dirty at his matches!

My favorite stage yesterday was the concrete pipes. Stacked 8" and 10" targets at 443 yards, single diamond at 555. Shoot top, then bottom at 443, then the diamond, move to next position.

That was squad 4's last stage of the day, so plates were solid grey. Got the first three, moved, find the 443 plates... there... bang! Nice satisfying whack, followed by spotter hollering "WRONG TARGET!" Sigh. I was so happy I saw a grey plate against the dark berm I just shot the thing on sight. Too bad it was the bottom one and not the top. Made it easy to shoot again...

Would be a rare match for me not to do something silly like that... Wanna know how to shoot 10 feet over a rimfire target 75 yards away? (Hint: Your scope turret's "0" being aligned with the index mark on the scope body may not mean what you think it means...)
