Rifle Scopes I got my Super Sniper 10X HD today

My first impressions are very favorable. I had an IOR SH 3-18 and the glass is very, very close if not a little better to my eyes. Holy cow it is bright too! I was just shocked at how much so and how much detail there was all the way to the edge.

My favorite thing is the improvement on the turrets from my original SS 10X. There is no backlash, they are definate clicks, and they are audible.

It also is a smaller package than the old one and feels way more refined as well as looks the part to.

I went deer hunting this last weekend with my old 10x and have no problem with it so this is my best buy for MY uses. Mil/Mil, excellent glass, excellent turrets, great reputation for reliability, and all for $759 off of the SWFA Sample List(scope was used in the pictures). I did have to clean the occular lens(not sure if that is the right term) as it had a smudge from handling for pictures I am guessing.

Tonight I will mount it and get some time behind it looking around from 50yds to 1000yds+ at random objects around dusk and see how much better it is that the previous generaition but right now I say it is well worth the extra $500 and I wish I could buy a second one just to hold onto.

Hmmm.
I got mine off the sample list.
It was the one that was used in the pictures too.

I like the size and weight. It's hard to find ways to save weight and still have solid performance.

Nice scope.

That is odd. I wonder if it is still listed up there? Maybe they forgot to take it down?

I was amazed at how much smaller it is than the original SS. Now I could use some low rings instead of the med Badgers I have.

I also noticed after playing it does have a little backlash in the turrets but not much.

ETA: I just went and looked and they still have it listed there...weird.

We used several for images. A few went to a professional studio and several were mounted on various rifles by us for field shots.

I love the scope btw. It is awesome!!

I was looking through it at about 10pm last night down the street a few blocks and was simply amazed at how the colors were so bright and crisp on a John Deere tractor that was sitting under a street light. Just amazing for the $$.

That was my gripe with the earlier models - weak clicks.

I always thought the glass itself was pretty good.

These days I only buy Leupold. There's other really good stuff out there, but I'm gettin' Leupy.

garandman, that doesnt seem to be the populer consensus..... There just seems to be a metric ton of threads about Loopys fall from grace for several reasons that appear to be founded and well supported.

Well, I guess I should say I haven't actually bought anything from them in about 3 years. But I've got three and they are all outstanding.

I'll look for those threads (or start my own) as not to hijack this thread.

I never argue against something thats actually working. But for me needing a new scope and older Loopys dont have the features I need(mil/mil), I have to look elsewhere. Limited funds in todays environment may push me to the SS 10X HD until I can afford another S$B
