I know I am not the only one but man I got the itch to build another upper. WOA 20" varmint barrel is calling my name. I know I should learn my 16" WOA spr upper but man those velocities are calling to me lol. Anyone own one other the TR Mlok handgaurds that use there special barrel nut wrench thats 50$. I know you can you a strap wrench for but it almost seems a Geissele wrench might work with some mods to it. Maybe after a few neat pours of eagle rare . will say the hell with it and complete the purchase.

I haven't purchased one yet. The 50 dollar barrel nut wrench doesnt make it appealing. Now if it locks up tight like a $250+ handgaurd then it might be the right buy. They are know for great products.
Neither - John Jardine (gunsmith) built them for me 2 years back so couldnt tell you how he installed them.
What kind of meaningful velocity increases that do anything for you downrange are you expecting between 16” and 20”?
I have people run the numbers between 14.5” and 18” all the time to see, and it’s basically meaningless.
I can show what all the exact numbers are in the minutiae, but they both run out of gas really fast as you push out.
The only thing that has really caught my attention in .224” bore lately is the Black Arc munitions quality NAS3 nickel steel case ammo spitting 80.5gr Bergers out at 2840fps from an 18” Douglas pipe. $75/box please....
