I had this really recognizable tiger striped gun stolen. Can you watch for it?

So I was out of town this weekend and my house was robbed. Basically everything I had of value was stolen, but below is what I want back the most. It is a GAP 375 WSM with a bright paint job.

I will keep a look out in KC. Sorry about your situation, I know how it feels a bit. Hopefully your insurance will treat you right. Have you thought about contacting Hornady, Redding, RCBS, etc and checking to see if anyone has ordered custom dies, obviously a guy can't just go buy ammo at Wally World or Bass Pro.

That sucks man, sorry about the losses. While there is a very remote chance that the robber is actually someone that reloads, and knows who or where to call for custom dies, it is still slim chance. I had a truck stolen once in Memphis there was some real nice snap on tools in it, i doubt it was a mechanic that did it. I imagine that rifle will be at the bottom of a lake, unless the lowlife is an idiot and tries to flip it. Good luck and may fuck be upon the crook.

I normally do not like giving out rifle SN s but this may be one case were you may want to get the SN out there. First thing the scumbags will probably do is paint the stock to change the look of it. But they are probably idiot drug addicts that will try to get rid of it at a pawn shop or flee market. I hope you find it!!

Terrible loss. Luckily, your stick is very distinctive, and not a common caliber. I sincerely hope you get it back - and - they catch the SOB that ripped you off. Is hanging legal for burglars and gun thieves? How about chopping a right hand off?

Good luck on recovering your property.

That sucks! I feel for ya. I hope you can recoup your losses. I don't think it would be totally random. I had some shit stolen from me to lately and I'm under the assumption it's probably someone who knows what I have in one way or another. A friend of a friend or some one that you have sold something to lately? I think that when this shit happens they have an idea of what their prize will be or something that they know will be worth while. Especially if you were out of town it's probably someone that knew that in one way or another. Just giving you things to think about as I have done a lot of thinking lately about my losses.

Sorry to hear. I agree with the thought of notifying the local pawn shops, especially those in the nearest big city. Probably show up with a Krylon black paint job. Hope ya get the SOBs. We had a string of breakin's, around here, a while ago. The police finally got them. A couple was posing as Jehovah witnesses, and would ask to use the bathroom to scope the place out. Couple weeks ago, a young African American male, "selling magazines", tried the same thing with me. I escorted him to the end of my driveway. Thanks to my dogs for making a good snarly, toothy show behind the screen door.

Man that sucks.
Hope the theif screws up in some way and gets caught.
This reminds me that I must pick up a new battery for my alarm system which I have been putting off for a few days.

You don't have to give the full SN. Give the first two characters and the last two characters, or some combination that doesn't fully disclose it yet allows almost 100% certainty in identifying. I'll look at any local gun shows over the next few months. If I were to find it you would have it shipped back to you overnight, in my pelican case, return freight prepaid, and I would include a 6-pack of your favorite brew for your stress. Best of luck bro.

Amen to this^

People wonder all the time why a man kills or wants to kill another man, its shit like this that the button gets pushed. Wouldn't you just love to actually walk in on the SOB and see the look on his face, staring down the barrel of your favorite hand gun... Sorry man for the rambling, I hope like hell you find your rifle and most of all, your thief.. Best of luck..

Please go out and buy a safe before you go out of town again.
One thing I do before I leave town, is leave out a decoy POS 12 ga pump with a plugged up barrel for them to grab.
You'll find out who stole your gun after it blows up in their face.
Hopefully you'll find your rifle and learn from this experience.

GUN IS IN POLICE CUSTODY!

Got a call from a gun shop I had told about the gun and the guy was telling me I would probably be interested in this rifle a guy just brought in...he went in back and told me to call the cops. They held the dude in custody there until cops arrived as I hauled balls there, it was a town about 30 miles away. He tried to sell the gun for $500. They arrested the guy and we all went down to the station where they interrogated him and I gave a statement. Hopefully this leads to the rest of my stuff!

Great news! Keep us posted about the rest of your stuff.

That's wonderful news to hear. Ask and you shall receive. I bet you've said a prayer or two. Lol. Might want to say another one to keep you from dismembering the Asshole who stole your rifle. My family had a pair of Benelli Super Black Eagles stolen from our house when I was in Junior High school. We got them back. Turned out to be some prick in my grade who had been kicked out of school, and had heard from acquaintances my family had firearms. The rest were in a safe. Thank God. But the jack ass cut off both barrels, and tried to cut off the stocks until he hit the steel rod that runs through it. I sure hope you rifle is undamaged!

Tyler you are so very lucky! Good thing you contacted all the gun shops in the area. I also hope the cops fully interrogate this punk, so the trail stays hot.

Keep us informed.

Congrats on getting your rifle back.

+1 to getting a safe. I lock up all my weapons and alarm my house before I leave on trips. Usually only have out a pistol or two out for home defense and CCW even when I am around.

Hey man great news! I can relate to the feeling you had when it was stolen I've had my house broken into that alone is not a good feeling.
I hope you can recover the rest .

Great news. It is a shame that they can't take him down to the river bed and talk to him like he needs to be talked to until he gives up the rest of your property.

I hope the piece of shit that stole it puts the wrong ammo in it and it explodes in his face. That is a sweet gun and sticks out a mile. You would have to be really ignorant to steal it

Edit
Duh just saw the cops have it. Hopefully you will get it back! Insurance will do you right. That's what it's there for.
