I was shooting some Geco match and CCI SV at 150yds today. The Geco match had a lot of vertical. The CCI SV, to my surprise, shot great. in my T1X and Bergara B14R. I shoot it lot at 50yds and some at 100yds and it does well. But 150yds I see a lot of vertical. today this shot very well. The wind was pushing up to 2 moa right and left. I shot two groups running 1.25" when I hit the wind lull. The first target my hold point was the bullet impact 2" right at 2 o'clock. The second was the bolt at 12 o'clock. The wind got up and the group were strings horizontally with about 1" vertical. I went thru what a have and I have 5 brick of this lot, great find. I am going and test the other lots I have.

I going to go thru all the SV I have. And see how many lots and how much of each I have. I may give the 50 at 100 a try. How do you shoot it? Do you just shoot one spot for the 50 or do you hold for wind as it changes? The place I shoot is windy most of the time.

I got all of SV during the last rimfire shortage. I got most of it at one LGS. He would sell me a brick every other week. I have 20 bricks one at a time.

Mark, when attempting the 50 at 100, I maintain a single point of aim and wait.
I squeeze only when the wind flags and berm vegetation indicate a lull.
Some mornings it's only 20 minutes to shoot 50, others it can take an hour plus.
Also, I make a point of staying in the side wall wind shadow to avoid strong gusts.
I try to make the results about ammo quality, not my skill at adjusting for wind.

Did you record Enviro and such, so when you shoot again you can compare weather results ? Super hot days to nice chilly days after a rain, they give me different results for rimfire
