Situation. Recently got some money from workman's comp for my thumb. Decided to buy a used razor GEN2 4.5-27X57 7C mil from the px here.
Thinking of putting it on my Ar15 in the meantime cause I haven't bought my Tikka yet. Been trying to figure out if they are ever going to import a lefty stainless CTR. I bought a 20moa riser rail to get the height.
All of my coworkers are saying I'm doing everything bass ackwards because I bought the scope before the gun.
I've had coworkers say it isnt good to mount a scope in rings to a pic rail to a gun because it isn't secure enough for hunting or some such like that. Better to mount directly to the gun than a pic rail.
Just had another coworker say it's better to not mount it up to my AR because I will have to adjust later and have to lap the rings, and have problems with marring the tube. Says it is best to just mount the rings just once and never adjust. When I got the scope it came with the Vortex precision matched rings. Of course I'm going to have to adjust later.
These coworkers also think a razor is way too much scope for anything.
Frustrated by the idiots around me. So am I surrounded by fudds?
