Made a pilgrimage to Redding CA this weekend to take care of some business and while there I stopped by the Old West pawn shop to pick up a couple of cans of FFF because they're the only place I know that carries it. They had the powder (and only up $1 vs. what I paid last year) but they also had CCI minimag .22LR on the shelf. $10 per 100! Obviously not the best price but if you actually want to shoot, they at least had some to sell you.

He said they had some bulk packs in the last week, and that ammo is starting to show up again.

Never really been a problem around here if you know when places get their shipments, you can be there (waiting in line as they open) and pick up all kinds of stuff. Last week after people in the line at one shop had gone through, they let everybody go back though for another two 525bullet boxes and when people had gone through a second time the staff was walking through the lines at the register trying to give people the rest of the 525round boxes/primers/223/etc with very few takers.

It's out there, you just have to put in the leg work.

P.S. the Federal 525-round boxs I'm seeing are $25/box which is $7 more than it was 6 months ago but...

The only .22 my local Gander Mountain has in stock is $19.00 per 50 rnd box of Elley match. That is it period. Expensive and doesn't shoot for shit out of my .22s unfortunately.

Starting to see 22 hitting the shelves here locally. LGS has American Eagle for $3.95/50 limit 5. Another place had a smattering of CCI. Both are in stock - at least for now - not handing out in lines type of stuff. Also seeing powder start to show up and bullets here and there.

I think once you start seeing Ammo hit the shelves regularly you will start seeing reloading supply's return. I have three guys at work that have never reloaded before, they bought stuff to load with because they couldn't find Ammo. Needless to say they couldn't find reloading supplies either.

The local DICKS has had Eley match, 50 for $10 and my dad found some CCI Quiet, 50 for $7, in Kentucky. Some people do the "get up early and stand in line so we can flip it for 3X what we paid for it" game.

Twice within the last year CMP released surplus .22 ammo at +\- $120/5000.

I bought 3 cases.

Had I been selling it over the last few months it would have been the best money making investment I ever made.
