Is there any place to get one currently? I'm considering selling off my Remington 700/AICS and a couple other little things to make it happen. I'd prefer a 2.0 stock and in .308 caliber.

Also, do they come threaded 5/8x24 by any chance? I have a suppressor with that thread pattern and was curious if AI only did metric.

Final question. Is it honestly worth it? I won't be at a two way range is why I ask.

Thanks!

I was in the same boat. Here is my advice, plain and simple:

If you are pretty sure you want an Accuracy International, and are a little uneasy on spending too much, get the AE rifle

If you are POSITIVE you can't lie without an Accuracy International, and have the "in for a penny, in for a pound" motto, get an Arctic Warfare

I would tell you to call Stacey Blankenship, he's the one that answered all of my questions, including the ones I didn't know I had

Also, since AI barrels are easily removed, any capable smith can thread the barrel to your specs.

Why do you insist on a 2.0 folding stock?

The muzzle thread is metric, but customers routinely cut SAE threads on the 24 inch barrels.

"Is it honestly worth it?"

Absolutely. The price is competitive with many customized 700s, but one stop shopping and service.

Had a 1.5 AICS, switched to a 2.0 and have never felt better about it. I love the fact that I can clean it without removing the cheekpiece too.

But, I'm not insisting on a 2.0 but I would MUCH rather prefer it.

Re: I think I want an AI AE.. Help?

Good points from all. As for the folding vs fixed chassis, get what you most honestly want and don't dwell on it. There are always pro's and con's to any option or decision, but left in suspense, you will never get there from here without say "I want...". As for the barrels, I would recommend in the case of the 5/8x24 threading, order the barrel length you desire or closest to such, then have it threaded for your application. As to the barrels being removed and installed, contact me before you start for some advice.
