my neighbor snagged a savage/anschutz single shot somewhere and just had to show it to me. now i want one. bullbarrel and peep sights and i think i have to have one. anyone have one?

I used to have one.
The only thing about it that I thought needed improvement was the trigger.
I have a S/A 141 I'm selling but it's a sporter. Got a MPR coming soon.

I have a S/A Model 10B, the 64 action, single shot and 26" barrel. Humbling to shoot given my ability, but the most fun shooting ever. The best 325.00 I spent on a firearm. Barrel and action are VG, stock looks like it was in a blender.

For Anschutz collective knowledge, Rimfire Central Anschutz section is the place.

so is 500 too much on this? im looking on a few places and i see them lower but im just not sure whats the going rate. anyone have a bluebook?

Ax, Like someone said earlier, go to rimfire central and ask them, There are a lot of dedicated .22 guys there and most know what they are talking about. Good Luck, I bought a 54 and love it. Most say the 54 action is better than the 64. Shot both and can't tell the difference.
