I feel your pain. One year deer hunting, I literally almost stepped on one like that. He was napping behind an amazingly small bush, & neither of us saw the other till he woke up, took one look at me & scampered off. It was 3 days before elk season; surely had to think on the 4lb issue as to whether to unleash a Nosler Partition that day.

for a small lighter camera man this thing can do it all.

I only took one card with me or I would ran some video...

So... you found a stud bull like that, in a meadow, with your family, during the daylight, was able to take pics and he wasnt in RMNP? Right..... A bull that stupid just wouldnt make it very long in an open hunting area, you know, one where you could have a tag.

Would you like to see internet links to at least two other pics of that bull? Those people all admit he was standing right in RMNP.

Nothing wrong with taking the family out and showing them some elk. You took some kick ass pictures, pretty good quality. Just admit to where you took them.

I'm not saying he doesn't go to the horseshoe... I'm just saying he doesn't just live there. I took those pics Early in the morning. When was he at the horseshoe?

It isn't that hard really...

For fucks sake, relax a bit and quit trying so hard to make an issue of this... so many fucking internet experts will try way to hard to make an issue out of nothing, read more into it, miss the point, try to make something of nothing and miss the reality, and why, cause they've nothing fucking better to do.

Wanna make a bet the super dudes on "as real" are having a field day with this. And why...???

If the weather holds we'll be in, or near there again this weekend. However, once we went in the park on Monday the crowds we a bit overwhelming. Maybe we'll head to Red Feather and shoot some real Elk, not the pets.
