If Overton Windex made a movie

William Fichtner is a good actor but he can only read the lines given to him.

Shoot, entire story lines have been in error, even with a retired military expert consulting. My favorite example is "Tears of the Sun."

So, the team, led Willis, is to drop in, find a doctor working with Doctors without Borders and extract her. Nigeria is in a civil war and foreigners like her are in great danger.

The mission is planned. Many technical details are correct, thanks to the retired SEAL who is consulting. But he is there only to advise on some procedures and tactics.

The mission is to locate her, get to ex-fil, be back aboard ship in time for dinner.

They get there and find her. She says she can't leave these patients. The rest of the movie is sneaking to the border because they could not be extracted. And that is where it goes all wrong.

SEALs are no-fail. Accomplish the objective regardless of obstacles. Even if the obstacle is the person to be extracted. Proper procedure is to detain and restrain the person and search for weapons and traps. Then you get them out of there. If she refuses, then the medic on the team (everyone has some special skill) gives her a tranquilizer shot when she is not looking. She goes to sleep and the guy on the team who is my size lugs her out with the other guys protecting. Make time to the EP. Back aboard ship by dinner bell.

Anyway, yes, OW is still on youtube. I happened across a live stream of him talking about his heart surgery and playing online poker while smoking a cig. That's 5 minutes I will not get back.

The movie is dumber than that. Willis' team does get extracted but on the way back they fly over a village and see everyone has been slaughtered. He gets all up in his feels about it, tells the pilot to turn back around like it's Uber, and they get dropped off at their exfil point. Turns out one of the crowd is a literal puss cake of an African prince or some shit so they gotta save him too. Anyways, Doc Tits lives, most of the SEALs die, and Africa keeps being Africa.

Well, he could have shot a bud light instead of wasting a perfectly good Red Bull.

And he could have tried not bullshitting about the distance while he was at it.

Dude brags about having $7K's worth of camera equipment, yet doesn't have a single phone scope or scope camera.

Then he followed that up with a half inch group at 500 yards in the exact same fashion.

Ain't much different than the Hide member here showing a .4", 20 shot group at almost 300 yards in high winds...with an AR...which is 2/3 the size of the benchrest record at that distance for just 10 shots.

^ At some point, you're going to bullshit in front of people who know better.

Yep. I actually saw his Red Bull video before I joined the hide. I was immediately unimpressed with his lie. So I decided then and there if I ever watched any of his videos again it would be purely as entertainment.

Wait a miniute. The Overton family sells stuff to waterskier’s. Their daughter, Christy Overton was really really good, Master’s and would championship waterskier good.

Windex makes wind indicators for sailboats.

So WTF has any of this have to do with Precision Rifles / Snipers / Men of the Hide????????

This thread should explain it all.
