I have been in need of a good safe for a while now, and was shopping around. I came across Fort Knox safes, and was wondering about any personal experiences with them, or any other reccomendations anyone may have. I found what I think is a good deal. I was offered a Fort Knox Maverick Series safe with dimensions of 60x31x25, for the price of $1,400. I think this safe retails for around $2,300, but not completely sure. Please lend me some advice or any other good deals someone may know of. Thanks and Happy 4th.

Re: IGood Gun Safes?...Recommendations.

I have had one of the Winchester safes (made by Granite) from Sam's Club for about 10 years, suits my purpose well. It's not too expensive ($599.00), not huge nor real heavy (600 lbs +), but all bolted down, I think it'd take some serious effort to enter it or remove it.

Here's a link to a good read on buying a safe:

Fort Knox makes a really good safe.

Any safe is better than no safe and there are lot to choose from. Get a larger safe than you need as you will certainly fill it if you hang out on this forum.

I have had a Ft. Knox for a couple of years now. I really like it. I went through a long research process when I was looking for mine and finally decided on the Ft. Knox.
