I know the 3 gun guys drive their firearms so maybe I would look stupid/ill-informed doing it my way.
I would go with a 2 point for versatility. There are some convertible slings that go from multi-point to single, but when you have to make a choice on how to prosecute a target, too many choices gets in the way. It's why I ended up choosing the sling that I do have. As with all things, practice makes perfect, and any choice you do make you drill, drill, drill.
The beauty and curse of owning the AR15 platform is you can always buy something else to fit your needs or desires. The darned things are never done!!! LOL </div></div>
Rick I'm 59 yrs old. So I won't be national ranked shooter or go to war. But I do plan on having a whole lot of fun.
And there is always something to buy.
I shot my AR today at the range. (I wish I could have mounted my bipod) lol
It shot great everything I hoped it would be.
With my eyes either I'll have a 50 yd rifle or I need to put a scope on it.
Actually I was pleased with 50 yd shots. I didn't do bad at 100 Yards.
I'm thinking of getting the Leupold Tactical VX-R Patrol

Or the Vortex Viper PST

I'm leaving town after the 1st for a couple of months. I'll buy it when I get back in town. The weather will be bad anyway.
My brother lives in Dallas. When I get back I'm going up to see him. I'll stop by SWFA and compare them.
I was pleased today.
