Impact action and remage barrels

I'm getting ready to order an impact action and didnt know if anyone knows for sure if a remage barrel will work on one. I was told by impact that it's the same thread size and pitch but that their threads are a class 3 thread. Not sure what a class 3 thread is. Only reason I ask if because i have a couple remage prefits sitting around that would be nice to be able to finish using and burn them up instead of trying to sell them.

The different classes refer to how precise the threads are. My understanding is that Impacts high precision allows easy pre-fits, no machining, whereas REMage style need a nut to take the slack for the same. It is likely the REMage threads are less precise so may not fit as well. Just an educated guess.

Worked on mine. Have a Mcgowan remage barrel on a Impact action.
