Impressed with Impact

[AR-180]

I’ve got an Impact 737 set up as a 6.5 Creedmoor. Recently, I bought a 223 bolt, barrel, and a 308 barrel.

I went to my local range with a viper barrel vise, two c clamps, action and torque wrench. I confirmed zero. Then, I’d switch barrels and plot the impacts. After swapping barrels back, I’d dial on the impact dope and favor center.

That level of repeatability is really impressive to me.

It’s amazing how consistent they can be when you start with parts that have excellent machining tolerances and use consistent methods for assembly.
