Good day all,
With the shortage of components etc. Wondering about using ya got, has anyone run the numbers or have any load data reloading 4064 with the new 6mm ARC? Thanks for any data. Have a pleasant day. Cheers JG.
H4895 is slow (velocity) in 6mm AR.
IMR4064 will most probably be even slower (velocity) in 6 ARC as unable to get enough in case.
I’ll see how much IMR 4064 fits in 6mm AR case.
What bullet(s) are you using?
I agree on the capacity issue, but it wouldn’t hurt to try. CFE223 and Varget are slow runners in 6ARC, but then again the most successful powder so far has been Leverevolution...and according to the burn rate chart, it’s the slowest one of all...

Leverevolution is also a ball powder so you can get quite a bit more powder in case verses IMR4064 / Varget.
Leverevolution is double base, as is CFE223, but both IMR4064 and Varget are single base extruded.
IMR4064 will "work" in 6 ARC, high probability it shoots straight but velocity will be lower. Doubt you can get as much IMR4064 in case as H4895 due to kernel size.
If one only has 4064, nada to loose.
Pew pew is more better than no pew pew.
