Hey all, I'm considering moving to the Indianapolis area for work. I'm curious if anyone knows of any ranges close by our a local group or hangout for guys who like to shoot long range. Thanks

The closest place to this would probably be youngs longshot shooting range. http://www.youngslongshot.com/
I have not been there, im lucky enough to have some friends with land that i can shoot out to 1k+. I have heard good things and the range does look pretty stellar. Most of the Indiana DNR ranges by me only go up to MAYBE 200yds. Not sure how far you were looking to shoot but if a 1000yds was your goal i think youngs is your best bet.

Hilltop is probably the closest 1k to Indnpls that doesn't require a membership
"Camp Atterbury on the base" has 2000 yards+, but is only accessible for matches. They have matches about every other weekend from spring to fall.

Yea Atterbury is your best bet for extended long range, as long as you dont mind shooting matches.
