Inexpensive hunting rifle

Good evening fellas, looking for some input.
My younger sister is looking to purchase her first “real” hunting rifle.
For the last 10ish years she’s hunted with a single shot .243 our dad picked up for her when she was 8/9 years old, now she’s wanting something different.
She’s looking for a bolt action chambered in either 270 or 308, and she is dead set on having a wood stock.
Does anyone have experience with any of the newer offerings that come with a wood stock?
She’s looking to spend in the sub 1k-ish price range including rings and a decent 3-9 to put on top of it

Tikka T3X Hunter comes with a nice wood stock. And they are on sale at Euro Optic. You'll have a hard time finding a better rifle for the money.

We picked up a Tikka hunter last year. For the $ it's been a great rifle.

I would say the t3x hunter or the sauer 100 come to mind for bang for buck
