I just picked up a Remington 700 VS SF .223 that was made in 1994. Can someone tell me the difference between mine and the new VS SF II???? It looks like the VS SF retailed for $800 while the VS SF II retails for $1300.
I have a AICS stock on my 700 PSS.308. Can someone recomend a good stock for this .223.

thanks

The only real difference I've noticed has been the stock. The older model has little or no palmswell and is similar to the old Winchester marksman stock, while the newer stock has a pronounced palmswell and what seems like a shorter more vertical grip. Either the old or new stock is pretty solid (I prefer the older one, it just seems to fit better) but I'd recommend bedding the action into it. I'm also not a fan of the new trigger, but if you've got the older model, you should be fine.
