Went to send a book to a USAF friend on Okinawa. Via an APO.

The %$$#ing dick-weasels at the USPS now require a customs form to send a book to an overseas airman!!!

What in the fucking ever loving Christ is this shit? An APO is sending from the USA to Sovreign U.S. Territory overseas.

There should be no goddamned cocksucking retarded commie customs form to send things to buddies overseas.

WTF... It's on Okinawa. Last I checked we OWNED that shithole. It cost us a crapload of Marines and GI's. Who the %$#k is anyone to tell us that we need a customs form to send to our air bases on Okinawa.

Getting really tired of this crap.

P.S. Has taken the douche-drinking weenies at USPS 31 days to get a small package from Colorado to here. Via three depots in texas. This is a package no bigger than a softball. Over a month. Yeah, and they didn't screw over millions of ballots. Time to fold the post office and turn it over to UPS.

A friend of "ours" in PA made some special treats for my family and I like a week and a half ago. Guess where they are? PA! She's not happy and the Yummy is probably gonna be dust when it arrives. :mad:

But ya, Fuck'm! APO/FPO should be exempt!

Its funny how many people are losing their shit over delays and swear to go to "the other guy", because to be straight every parcel service common carrier is massively overloaded right now. UPS, Fedex, DHL, even Amazon's own delivery network.

This Christmas was the breaking point for logistics for delivery services in North America. In industry it is being refered to as package Armageddon. And when Fedex and UPS cut off high volume senders they all dumped their sales onto USPS which at this point has been underfunded and mismanaged for decades.

Dont be surprised if your shit takes longer to get there, even market demand for full load semi trucks in the spot market is getting eaten up.

This was required on my last deployment 4 years ago to the middle east. Also been to Okinawa twice. We don't own it. They don't want use there. After all the rapes of underage girls by US military and killing people while driving drunk or in a f'ing tank, I don't blame them at all.....

Not sure when the last time was you sent anything APO/FPO, but it's been that way for a very long time whenever shipping anything through them, and that goes in either direction. I think I've filled out that form well in excess of 100 times, and I'm nowhere near a heavy mailer.

As for Okinawa, thank Carter for returning it to Japanese control, much to the disdain of the Okinawans. Want to piss off an Okinawan? Call them Japanese...

I Sent a letter/payment from N. Central WA to Southern ID LAST Monday. 8 days later and the recipient has still not received it, 632 road miles away. USPS sucks ass for SURE. Also, now when/if you pay a premium for priority mail (this was sent regular) they no longer guarantee 2-3 days to most places in the US. Frustrating for sure

I sent my son a first class envelope 30 days ago from Jacksonville FL to Indianapolis. Still waiting for it to arrive.

On the same note.................................

Got a new spotting scope and tripod from Camera Land last week.

Athlon scope is awsome, tripod was not what I thought it would be. . Talked to Joel, decided on a different model, even exchange, easy peasy!

Went to the local USPS entity, 30$ to ship back to NY! That was the cheap option, I think the faster deal was 34$.

Took my tripod and made a B line for the closest UPS store. 22$ with insurance and tracking. USPS used to be the cheaper route, not so much anymore.

UPS or Fed X will almost never lose your shit. I could write for an hour all the times my shit has been lost, at least for a week or so, by the local USPS.

One quick one would be the at least a half dozen AR barrels that were put in my mailbox, with the box sticking out because the USPS drone is too fucking lazy to drive down my driveway and put the box by my garage. JUST like UPS, Fed X and even the Amazon dopes manage to!

FYI.............. standard AR barrel is 16", with box or tube 18ish. Mailbox is 8-9" and slopes backward. Leave the door open in a rain storm and try to deal with the rest of the shit they put in your mailbox!

Customs forms for APOs have been a thing for a long ass time. It blows but it isn’t something new.

The shit that really blows is:
1. No real tracking once it enters the APO system
2. No tracking once UPS transfers a package to USPS (if sending via UPS).
3. The shit ton of packaging damage that occurs in the APO system.

We gave it back in '72.

Anyone noticed a significant increase in delivery times. Used to get packages from Midway in two day, now it's five. Ordered a batch of bullets from the same state back in March; took three weeks. Numerous other examples. It appears the PO takes possession and they sit there for several days or even weeks before moving.

Also learned the PO will accept ANY package from Amazon or Walmart.com even if they cannot deliver. You get a notice that you will need to pick.

We don't own it, I was thinking Jimmy Carter returned gonvernace to Japan. It may have been sooner. The okinawans were none to pleased, as they are not "japanese" and are treated as second class subjects.
I do remember filling out customs forms when I was stationed overseas.

Not that it matters but I just thought of something.............................on one of the more blatant examples of the USPS losing my shit, I called, followed up and almost filled out the forms. I stopped when the form basically exonerates them of any wrong doing. I finally got a face to face with the puke that USED to run the local hub, he did nothing but lie to my face. When I pushed him as hard as was needed at the time, his final answer was.

You're going to love this shit! " The carrier remembers being in your driveway, she just doesn't remember what she did with your package". No fucking lie, this asshole told me this, with a straight face!! There are special corners in hell reserved for a POS like this guy!!!!
