Just got a razor hd 4000 range finder. Love the look and feel of the range finder. Was able to look through my back window and range a building at 250 yards, so can’t really speak about the ranging abilities.
I did have a few issues though. I don’t really like the large open reticle which I feel will make ranging small objects at adistance difficult, but based on everything I read it should not be a problem.
Now on to the advice portion of the thread. There are “speckles” of illumination material scattered throughout the lens which are visible. I marked a few in the pictures I uploaded. Additionally there is a discontinuity in the reticle at the 1:30 position. Idk how else to really describe it. (Also look at the pics). This really bothers me as it is a pretty expensive optic. I’m considering returning it and requesting a new one from optics planet vs contacting vortex directly.
i am not opposed to trying a different brand, as a matter offact I liked the Leica 2800 more. But the warranty vortex provides gives me peace of mind.
